The statistics show that in most of the major crime categories in Hurstville over the past two years there has been no significant trend indicated. EXECUTIVE SUMMARYCouncil has been successful with an application for funding for an anti-graffiti project.AUTHOR RECOMMENDATIONTHAT the information be received and noted.REPORT DETAILEarlier this year Council applied for funding under the Proceeds of Crime Act to undertake an Anti-Graffiti Education and Support Program in partnership with the Pole Depot Community Centre and with the support of the Juvenile Justice Conferencing Centre. The project involves working with young offenders to help reduce the likelihood of re-offending and to develop educational workshops for high schools. The project is funded for $148,000 over two years.
