TAC061-12 CAIRNS STREET, RIVERWOOD - REQUEST FOR A 2P RESTRICTION (12/635)
Committee's Recommendation

THAT all the residents in Cairns Street, between Belmore Road and Erskine Street, Riverwood, be consulted in regards to the proposal to install a ‘2P, 8.30am-6.30pm, Mon-Fri, 8.30am-12.30pm, Sat’ restriction in Cairns Street between Belmore Road and Erskine Street, Riverwood.

FURTHER THAT Net Strata, Strata Managers of 14-16 Cairns Street, Riverwood be advised of Council's decision.

TAC062-12 CAMBRIDGE STREET, PENSHURST - UPDATE ON TRAFFIC AND SPEED COUNTS (10/2162)
Committee's Recommendation

THAT the information be received and noted.

THAT another count be carried out in October 2012, to further compare and establish the traffic situation in Cambridge Street, Penshurst about 6-monts after the completion of the Hurstville Aquatic Leisure Centre extension works.

FURTHER THAT the findings of the traffic counts be reported back to the Traffic Advisory Committee.

Committee's Recommendation
THAT the request for a pedestrian crossing in Croydon Road, Hurstville between Gannons Avenue and Beronga Avenue be denied.

THAT the possibility of installing a pedestrian refuge in Croydon Road, Hurstville be investigated and reported back to the Traffic Advisory Committee.

FURTHER THAT the resident be advised of Council's decision.

Committee's Recommendation

THAT the request for a pedestrian fence in Croydon Road, Hurstville opposite St Mary Star of the Sea School be denied.

FURTHER THAT the resident be advised of Council's decision.

TAC065-12 DOUGLAS HAIG STREET, INTERSECTION WITH BAKER STREET AND GUNGAH BAY ROAD, OATLEY - ROAD SAFETY CONCERNS (11/380)
Committee's Recommendation

THAT a ‘GIVE-WAY’ restriction be installed for traffic on Baker Street at Douglas Haig Street, Oatley.

THAT the "silent cop" located at the intersection of Baker Street and Douglas Haig Street, Oatley be removed.

THAT the request to upgrade the existing ‘GIVE-WAY’ restriction at the intersection of Douglas Haig Street and Gungah Bay Road, Oatley to a ‘STOP’ restriction be denied.

FURTHER THAT the resident be advised of Council's decision.

Committee's Recommendation

THAT a comprehensive traffic survey be carried out in Johnstone Street between Henry Lawson drive and Clarke Street South, Peakhurst to establish the current traffic situation in the area. Findings of the survey be reported to the Traffic Advisory Committee for consideration.

FURTHER THAT the resident be advised of Council's decision.

TAC067-12 KINGSGROVE COMMUNITY CENTRE - MISUSE OF CAR PARK (09/1927)
Committee's Recommendation

THAT "4P, 7:00am -7:00pm, 90 degree angle parking, vehicles under 6m only" signs be installed throughout the car park at Kingsgrove Community Centre located on Morgan Street, Kingsgrove.

FURTHER THAT the Kingsgrove Community Aid representative be advised of Council's decision.

TAC068-12 LUGARNO LIONS SPRING FESTIVAL 2012 - PROPOSED TRAFFIC CONTROL MEASURES (11/740)
Committee's Recommendation

THAT arrangements be made to install the following temporary traffic control measures on Sunday 23rd September, 2012 to facilitate the Lugarno Lions Spring Festival at Gannons Park, Peakhurst.
THAT bus operators be notified of the proposed traffic management measures.

THAT a TMP be submitted to the RMS and Police for the proposed traffic management measures.

FURTHER THAT the Lions Club of Lugarno be notified of Council's decision.

TAC069-12 MORTS ROAD, MORTDALE - REQUEST FOR A CURFEW ON HEAVY VEHICLES (10/1518)
Committee's Recommendation

THAT the request for a curfew, between 7:00pm -7:00am, Monday to Friday, for heavy vehicles and commercial traffic on Morts Road, Mortdale be denied.

FURTHER THAT the resident be advised of Council's decision.

TAC070-12 PALM COURT, HURSTVILLE - REQUEST TO STAND A MOBILE BREAST SCREEN VAN (05/910)
Committee's Recommendation

THAT permission be granted to use Palm Court Carpark from Monday 28 May to Friday 22 June 2012 to stand the NSW mobile breast screen van.

THAT the standard fees for occupancy of road related as per Council's Schedule of Fees & Charges be waived for the proposed occupancy of Council car park from Monday 28 May to Friday 22 June 2012.

THAT all affected businesses be notified of Council's decision.

FURTHER THAT the Health Promotion Officer of Breast-Screen NSW be notified of Council’s decision.

Committee's Recommendation

THAT the resident's concerns regarding the alleged illegal use of the Scout Hall in Glen Road, Mortdale be referred to Council's Development Control Section for investigations and appropriate action.

FURTHER THAT the resident be advised of Council's decision.

Committee's Recommendation

THAT the request for additional bike racks around Oatley Train Station be denied.

Committee's Recommendation

THAT the request to open up Breakwell Lane, Mortdale at the Forest Road end be denied.

THAT the request to ban the right turn movements from Scott Street into Forest Road be denied.

THAT a comprehensive traffic survey be carried out in Scott Street to establish the number of heavy vehicles that access Scott Street, Mortdale.

FURTHER THAT the resident be advised of Council's decision.

Committee's Recommendation

THAT the request for a load limit restriction in Station Street, Mortdale be denied.

FURTHER that the resident be advised of Council's decision.

TAC075A-12 BRIDGE STREET NEAR APSLEY STREET, PENSHURST - REQUEST FOR A BUS ZONE (03/1725)
Committee's Recommendation

THAT a 20m Bus Zone be installed on the northern side of Bridge Street, east of Connelley Street, Penshurst.

FURTHER THAT Punchbowl Bus & Coach Co be advised of Council’s decision.

TAC076A-12 HILLCROSS STREET, LUGARNO - REQUEST FOR A NO PARKING ZONE (11/415)
Committee's Recommendation

THAT the existing 'No Stopping 8.00am-9.30pm, 2.30pm-4.00pm School days' restriction on the souther side of Hillcross Street, Lugarno be changed to a 'No Stopping 8:00am-9.30pm, 2.30pm-4.00pm School days; No Parking at all other times' restriction subject to the consent of the owner of property at 27 Old Forest Road, Lugarno.

FURTHER THAT the resident be advised of Council’s decision.
