Alternate Voting Procedures - COVID-19

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, Council conducted this meeting remotely by email exchange. This procedure was supported by all Georges River Local Traffic Advisory Committee voting members.

All recommendations were endorsed (by email) on or before the meeting date by the following voting and non-voting members;

TAC109-21       Mercury Street, Beverly Hills - Proposed 'Bus Zone'

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

RECOMMENDATION

That a 20m ‘Bus Zone’ be installed on the western side of Mercury Street, Beverly Hills adjacent to No. 80 Stoney Creek Road, as shown on plan TC2327 attached to the report.

TAC110-21       Junction Road, Beverly Hills - Proposed 'Bus Zone'

RECOMMENDATION

That a 27m ‘Bus Zone’ be installed on the southern side of Junction Road, Beverly Hills adjacent to No. 25, as shown on plan TC2329 attached to the report.

RECOMMENDATION

That a 20m ‘Bus Zone’ and statutory ‘No Stopping’ zone be installed on the southern side of Mountview Avenue, Beverly Hills adjacent to No. 25A, as shown on plan TC2328 attached to the report.

RECOMMENDATION

That a 21m ‘Bus Zone’ and statutory ‘No Stopping’ zone be installed on the western side of Baumans Road, Peakhurst, adjacent to No. 66, as shown on plan TC2330 attached to the report.

TAC113-21       Kemp Street, Mortdale - Relocation of 'Bus Zone'

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

RECOMMENDATION

That the existing 30m ‘Bus Zone’ on the southern side of Kemp Street, be reduced to a 17m ‘Bus Zone’, adjacent to No. 105 Morts Road, as shown on plan TC2241 attached to the report.

TAC114-21       Forest Road, Peakhurst - Proposed Changes to "Bus Zone" and new "Works Zone"

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

RECOMMENDATION

(a)     That the existing “Bus Zone” on the western side of Forest Road, opposite Club Grandviews, be temporarily relocated 10m north.

(b)     That a 10m “Works Zone, 7am – 5pm, Mon - Sat” be installed on the western side of Forest Road, outside No. 932, once dates and duration are known, as shown on plan TC2332 attached to the report.

(c)     That at the completion of the “Works Zone” period, the “Bus Zone” be relocated back to its original location.

TAC115-21       Finalisation of Road Safety Audits

(Report by Senior Traffic Engineer)

RECOMMENDATION

THAT council does not proceed further with two recommendations made in the Road Safety Audits for Peakhurst West Public School and Hurstville Public School following detailed feasibility assessment at each site.

For the Motion: Majority. TfNSW have noted the recommendation however are not voting on the recommendation as they are not enacting the delegated functions of the Local Traffic Advisory Committee.

 

 

TAC116-21       Rawson Street, Sans Souci - Resident Consultation Outcome

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

RECOMMENDATION

That no further action is taken with regards to the construction of parking bays in Rawson Street, Sans Souci, following the results of the community consultation process.

For the Motion: Majority. TfNSW have noted the recommendation however are not voting on the recommendation as they are not enacting the delegated functions of the Local Traffic Advisory Committee.

 

 

TAC117-21       Ramsgate Road, Sans Souci - Proposed Upgrade to Pedestrian Refuge

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

RECOMMENDATION

(a) That the existing pedestrian refuge on Ramsgate Road, adjacent to Claydon Reserve, be reconstructed as shown on plan U926 attached to the report.

(b) That the “No Stopping” zones on the southern side of Ramsgate Road, east and west of the pram ramp, be extended by 9m and 5m respectively to comply with AS requirements.

TAC118-21       Carrington Avenue, Hurstville - Proposed "No Stopping" extension

RECOMMENDATION

That the existing “No Stopping” zone on the western side of Carrington Avenue, south of Warwick Street, Hurstville be extended 2m as shown on plan TC2324 attached to the report.

For the Motion: Unanimous

 

 

TAC119-21       Lily Lane, Hurstville - Proposed 'No Parking' zone

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

RECOMMENDATION

That a 25m “No Parking” zone be installed on the eastern side of Lily Lane, Hurstville adjacent to No.85 Cronulla Street, as shown on plan TC2331 attached to the report.

For the Motion: Unanimous

 

 

TAC120-21       Allen Street, South Hurstville - Proposed '1P' Zone

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

RECOMMENDATION

That the existing 32m ‘Works Zone’ on the northern side of Allen Street, South Hurstville, adjacent to No. 2-6 be converted to a ‘1P, 8.30am - 6pm, Mon - Fri, 8.30am - 12.30pm Sat’ zone, as shown on plan TC2333 attached to the report.

For the Motion: Unanimous

 

 

TAC121-21       Hodge Street, Hurstville - Proposed Linemarking

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

RECOMMENDATION

That a 550m S1 dividing (separation) line be installed on Hodge Street, between Elizabeth Street and Barnards Avenue, Hurstville, as shown on plan TC2326 attached to the report.

For the Motion: Unanimous

As this meeting was conducted remotely, there was no ‘opening’ or ‘conclusion’.
