CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING

 

RECOMMENDATION

That the Minutes of the Georges River Local Traffic Advisory Committee Meeting held on 06 April 2021 be adopted.

There were no matters arising from the previous meeting. Previous minutes moved by Mr B Langton, seconded by Mr G Perivolarellis.

Recommendation

That the meeting revert to a Closed Session at 10.02am.

TAC067-21       Broad Arrow Road, Riverwood - Proposed 'Bus Zones' (2210290, 2210299 & 2210293)

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

  RECOMMENDATION

(a)    That a 26m ‘Bus Zone’ be installed on the southern side of Broad Arrow Road, Riverwood adjacent to No. 174, as shown on plan TC2286 attached to the report.

(b)    That a 24m ‘Bus Zone’ be installed on the southern side of Broad Arrow Road, Riverwood adjacent to No. 28 Romilly Street, as shown on plan TC2288 attached to the report

(c)    That a 30m ‘Bus Zone’ be installed on the northern side of Broad Arrow Road, Riverwood opposite to No. 200, as shown on plan TC2287 attached to the report.

TAC068-21       Morgan Street, Kingsgrove- Proposed ' Bus Zone'

RECOMMENDATION

That the existing Bus Stop adjacent to No. 74 Morgan Street, Kingsgrove be relocated approximately 10m east of its current location and converted to a 20m ‘Bus Zone’ adjacent to No.’s 68 - 72 Morgan Street, as shown on plan TC2283 attached to the report.

TAC069-21       Kingsgrove and Beverly Hills Station Precincts - Temporary "Bus Zones"

RECOMMENDATION

(a)    That the following “Bus Zone” signs be approved for the period of Friday 25 June 2021 until Monday 12 July 2021:

 

Kingsgrove Station Precinct

i.   Replace 12m of “No Stopping” on the western side of Kingsgrove Road, commencing north of the existing “Bus Zone” (Kingsgrove Station, Kingsgrove Rd Stop ID 220811) with “Bus Zone”.

ii.  Install a 60m “Bus Zone” on the northern side of the separated carriageway of Morgan Street west of Marina Street, replacing unrestricted parking.  Monday to Friday only.

 

Beverly Hills Station Precinct

i.   Replace 24m of ¼ hour Parking Zone on the northern side of Morgan Street, east of King Georges Road with a “Bus Zone”.

ii.  Replace 12m of “2P 8.30am-6pm Mon-Fri” on the southern side of Morgan Street, east of King Georges Road with “Bus Zone, Monday to Friday”.

iii. Install 50m of “Bus Zone” regulatory signage at the existing bus stop on the northern side of Morgan Street east of Lee Ave.

 

(b)    That the parking be returned to its current status from Monday 12 July 2021.

That the parking zones on the southern side of the Connelly Street carpark, Penshurst be modified as shown on plan TC2293 attached to the report.

That “No Stopping” signs be installed at the intersection of Kara Lane and Vantage Lane, Peakhurst Heights as shown on the attached plan TC2291.

RECOMMENDATION

That the existing ‘1/4P 8am - 10:30pm, Mon - Fri, 8:30am - 12:30pm Sat’ zone on Beresford Avenue, Beverly Hills, adjacent to No. 20, be converted to a ‘No Parking, Australia Post Vehicles Excepted’ zone, as shown on plan TC2275 attached to the report.

RECOMMENDATION

That in accordance with the provisions of Part 1 of Chapter 4 of the Local Government Act 1993, the following matters be considered in closed meeting at which the press and public are excluded.

 

CON021-21      Belgrave Street, Kogarah - Temporary Road Closure for Orthodox Easter 2021

(Report by Senior Traffic Engineer)

THAT in accordance with the provisions of Part 1 of Chapter 4 of the Local Government Act 1993, the matters dealt with in this report be considered in closed Council Meeting at which the press and public are excluded. In accordance with Section 10A(2) (f) it is considered the matter affects the security of council, councillors, council staff or council property.

THAT in accordance with Section 10D it is considered that if the matter were discussed in an open Council Meeting, it would on balance, be contrary to the public interest as it affects the security of council, councillors, council staff or council property.

 

That in accordance with the provisions of Section 11(2) of the Act, the reports and correspondence relating to these matters be withheld from the press and public.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Consideration of Confidential Recommendations

CON021-21      Belgrave Street, Kogarah - Temporary Road Closure for Orthodox Easter 2021

(Report by Senior Traffic Engineer)

RECOMMENDATION

(a)    That approval be granted to close Belgrave Street, Kogarah, from Post Office Lane to Kensington Street, between 7.00pm and 11.00pm on Friday 30th April 2021 and from 9.00pm Saturday 1st May 2021 to 1:30am Sunday 2nd May 2021 for the Orthodox Easter celebrations, as shown on the TCPs attached to the report.

(b)    That approval be granted to temporarily close streets on the Orthodox Easter for the procession route at 7:00 pm on Friday 30th April 2021, in accordance with the details outlined in paragraph 5 of this report, and as shown on the Procession Route Plan attached to the report.

(c)    That the residents and businesses in Belgrave Street be advised of the closures.

GENERAL BUSINESS

 

·       Ormonde Parade, Hurstville – Concrete Traffic Island – Report to be brought to a future Traffic Advisory Committee meeting.

·       Kensington Street, Kogarah – Bus Layover. No action required.

That the meeting revert to Open Session at 10.30am.
