Alternate Voting Procedures - COVID-19

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, Council conducted this meeting remotely by email exchange. This procedure was supported by all Georges River Local Traffic Advisory Committee voting members.

All recommendations were endorsed (by email) on or before the meeting date by the following voting and non-voting members;

That the Minutes of the Georges River Local Traffic Advisory Committee Meeting held on 1 December 2020 be adopted.

TAC001-21       Beverly Hills and Peakhurst - Proposed "No Parking" Zones

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

RECOMMENDATION

(a)     That one angle parking space on the northern side of Vanessa Street, Beverly Hills, adjacent to Beverly Hills Park, be converted to “No Parking, 4am – 4pm, Council Vehicles Excepted”, as shown on plan TC2230 Sheet 1 attached to the report.

(b)     That one angle parking space on the northern side of Trafalgar Street, Peakhurst, adjacent to Peakhurst Park, be converted to “No Parking, 4am – 4pm, Council Vehicles Excepted”, as shown on plan TC2230 Sheet 2 attached to the report.

TAC002-21       Larkhill Avenue, Riverwood - Proposed 'No Parking' zone

RECOMMENDATION

That a 30m ‘No Parking, 6am – 8am, Tue’ zone be installed on the southern side of Larkhill Avenue, Riverwood, adjacent to No.19 as shown on plan TC2222 attached to the report.

TAC003-21       Iraga Avenue, Peakhurst - Proposed 'No Parking' zone

RECOMMENDATION

That an 85m ‘No Parking’ zone be installed on the southern side of Iraga Avenue and a 90m ‘No Parking’ zone be installed on the northern side of Iraga Avenue, adjacent to No. 49 Mavis Avenue, Peakhurst as shown on plan TC2220 attached to the report.

TAC004-21       Connells Point Road, Connells Point - Proposed 'No Stopping' zone extension

RECOMMENDATION

That the existing ‘No Stopping’ zone on the eastern side of Connells Point Road, Connells Point, adjacent to No. 174, be extended by 15m south as shown on plan TC2223 attached to the report.

TAC005-21       Truman Street, South Hurstville - Proposed "No Stopping" removal

RECOMMENDATION

That the existing 13m “No Stopping” zone on the western side of Truman Street, adjacent to No. 13, be removed as shown on plan TC2238 attached to the report.

TAC006-21       Maher Street, Hurstville - Proposed "Left Turn Only" Restriction

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

RECOMMENDATION

(a)     That a “Left Turn Only” restriction on both sections of Maher Street at the King Georges Road intersection be approved in principle, as shown on plan TC2232 attached to the report.

(b)     That prior to the changes being implemented consultation be undertaken with the residents of Maher Street.

(c)     That a Traffic Management Plan be submitted to TfNSW for endorsement following the resident consultation.

TAC007-21       Station Street and Oxford Street, Mortdale - Proposed Line Marking

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

RECOMMENDATION

(a)     That a give-way line, associated signage and a 10m centre line (BB) be installed on Station Street, Mortdale at the intersection with Boundary Road, as shown on plan TC2235 Sheet 1 attached to the report.

(b)     That a give-way line, associated signage and a 10m centre line (BB) be installed on Oxford Street, Mortdale at the intersection with Boundary Road, as shown on plan TC2235 Sheet 2 attached to the report.

TAC008-21       Rowe Street, South Hurstville - Proposed Line Marking

RECOMMENDATION

That a 10m centre line (BB) be installed on Rowe Street, at the intersection with Greenacre Road, South Hurstville as shown on plan TC2234 attached to the report.

TAC009-21       Netstrata Jubilee Stadium - Sydney FC Traffic Management Plan 2020/21 Season

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

RECOMMENDATION

(a)     That approval be granted for roads near Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah to be closed for the Sydney FC matches during the 2020/21 season.

(b)     That the attached “Traffic Management Plan” and associated “Traffic Control Plans” submitted by Traffic Logistics be approved.

(c)     That Traffic Logistics apply for the RMS Road Occupancy Licence for each Sydney FC game at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium in the 2020/21 season.

(d)     That a “Special Event Traffic Management Plan” be submitted to TfNSW by Traffic Logistics prior to the closures occurring.

(e)     That a minimum of 1.5m footpath clearance be provided for pedestrians around any temporary signage and the VMS boards.

(f)      That Traffic Logistics be advised of Council’s decision.

TAC010-21       Netstrata Jubilee Stadium - National Rugby League Traffic Management Plan 2021

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

RECOMMENDATION

(a)     That approval be granted for roads near Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah to be closed for the National Rugby League (NRL) matches during the 2021 season.

(b)     That the attached “Traffic Management Plan” and associated “Traffic Control Plans” submitted by Traffic Logistics be approved.

(c)     That Traffic Logistics apply for the RMS Road Occupancy Licence for each NRL game at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium in the 2021 season.

(d)     That a “Special Event Traffic Management Plan” be submitted to TfNSW by Traffic Logistics prior to the closures occurring.

(e)     That a minimum of 1.5m footpath clearance be provided for pedestrians around any temporary signage and the VMS boards.

TAC011-21       Regent Street, Kogarah - Proposed "Works Zone" adjacent to No.'s 80 - 84

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

RECOMMENDATION

(a)     That a 22m “Works Zone, 10am - 3pm, Mon - Fri, 7am - 5pm, Sat” zone be installed on the northern side of Regent Street, adjacent to No.’s 80 - 84, for a period of 52 weeks commencing in January 2021, as show on plan TC2236 attached to the report.

(b)     That the parking be returned to its current status at the completion of the “Works Zone” period.

TAC012-21       English Street, Kogarah - Proposed "Works Zone" adjacent to No.14

RECOMMENDATION

(a)     That a 12m “Works Zone, 7am - 5pm, Mon - Sat” zone be installed on the eastern side of English Street, adjacent to No. 14, for a period of 26 weeks commencing in April 2021, as shown on plan TC2237 attached to the report.

(b)     That the parking be returned to its current state at the completion of the “Works Zone” period.

That a 30m ‘Bus Zone, Mon - Sat’ be installed on the eastern side of Gungah Bay Road, Oatley adjacent to No.71, as shown  on plan TC2219 attached to the report.

RECOMMENDATION

(a)     That a 23m ‘Bus Zone’ be installed on the eastern side of Belmore Road, Peakhurst adjacent to No. 2, as shown on plan TC2228 attached to the report.

(b)     That a 25m ‘Bus Zone’ be installed on the eastern side of Belmore Road, Peakhurst adjacent to No. 24, as shown on plan TC2227 attached to the report.

(b)     That an 18m ‘Bus Zone’ be installed on the southern side of Boundary Road, Mortdale adjacent to No. 49A, as shown on plan TC2226 attached to the report.

TAC017-21       Austral Street, Penshurst - Proposed 'Bus Zone' extension

That the existing ‘Bus Zone’ on the northern side of Austral Street, adjacent to Georges River College, Penshurst, be extended 8m west as shown on plan TC2221 attached to the report.

RECOMMENDATION

(a)     That a 30m ‘Bus Zone’ be installed on the southern side of Lugarno Parade, Lugarno adjacent to No. 69, as shown on plan TC2233 attached to the report.

(b)     That a 27m ‘Bus Zone’ be installed on the northern side of Lugarno Parade, Lugarno adjacent to No. 84, as shown on plan TC2231 attached to the report.
