Background
In response to the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Georges River Council continues to demonstrate its responsiveness and resilience, making the health and wellbeing of our community, customers and staff our first priority.
Since I last advised Council in October 2020, I am pleased to report that the General Manager has been successful in securing 19 grants valued at over $8.5million to support the work of Council in providing activities, services and facilities to our community. These funds will help to offset the adverse financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
