conducted this meeting remotely by email exchange. This procedure was supported
by all Georges River Local Traffic Advisory Committee voting members.

(a) That
a 25m “Bus Zone, 7:30am – 9am, 3pm – 4pm Mon –
Fri” be installed on the southern side of Mimosa Street, Oatley
adjacent to the Hillcrest Nursing Home, with supplementary “No Parking,
At Other Times" plates as shown on plan TC2187 attached to the report.
(b) That a 23m “Bus Zone, 7:30am
– 9am, 3pm – 4pm Mon – Fri’’ be installed on
the northern side of Mimosa Street, adjacent to No. 28A alongside the nature
reserve, as shown on plan TC2188 attached to the report.

Street - Riverwood - Request for midblock Pedestrian Crossing
(Report by
Senior Traffic Engineer)

RECOMMENDATION
(a) That
the request to install a pedestrian crossing in Littleton Street, Riverwood
be denied on the basis that the required TfNSW warrants were not met.
(b) That
Littleton Street, Riverwood be included in the proposed Riverwood 40km/h High
Pedestrian Activity Area Study to assess the existing pedestrian facilities
and traffic calming devices in Littleton Street and advice on recommendations
if additional facilities are required.

pedestrian crossing installation.

Road, Oatley - Proposed Pedestrian Refuge Upgrade

That the existing pedestrian refuge on Boundary Road,
Oatley, north of the intersection with Martin Place, be upgraded, as shown on
plans U840 and TC2203 attached to the report.

Public School - Arcadia Street, Penshurst - Operational Transport and Access
Management Plan, Green Travel Plan & Road Safety Evaluation

RECOMMENDATION
(a) That
the submitted Operational Transport and Access Management Plan, Green Travel
Plan & Road Safety Evaluation be received and noted.
(b) As
the required consultation under the Conditions of Consent has not been
carried out with Council or TfNSW in preparing these documents, approval
cannot be supported.
(c) The
documents shall be amended after consultation has been carried out and a
report presented at a future Local Traffic Advisory Committee meeting for
consideration.

For the Motion: Majority. TfNSW have noted the
recommendations however are not voting on the recommendations as they are not
enacting the delegated functions of the Local Traffic Advisory Committee.

TAC168-20 Westfield
Shopping Centre, Hurstville - Traffic Management Measures for Christmas
Period
(Report by
Coordinator Traffic & Transport)
|
RECOMMENDATION
(a) That
the proposed traffic control measures near Westfield Hurstville, from Friday
18 December 2020 to Monday 4 January 2021 be approved subject to the
following conditions:
i. The
applicant (Westfield) shall advise the St George Police Local Area Command
(Traffic Services) at least 30 days prior to the implementation of proposed
traffic control measures. Any conditions imposed by the Police shall be fully
complied with.
ii. That
the applicant (Westfield) lodge to Council for approval prior to the
closures, Traffic Control Plans designed in accordance with the relevant
standards and prepared by accredited personnel.
iii. That
the applicant (Westfield) lodge to Council a current Certificate of Currency
with a minimum $20 million public liability indemnifying Georges River
Council.
iv. The
applicant (Westfield) shall advise TfNSW and the Transport Management Centre
at least 30 days prior to the implementation of proposed traffic control
measures. Any conditions imposed by the TfNSW and the Transport Management
Centre shall be fully complied with.
v. The
applicant (Westfield) shall advertise the proposed temporary changes to the
traffic situation in local newspapers.
vi. The
applicant (Westfield) shall provide advice in writing to all the affected
residents and business owners approximately two weeks prior to implementation
of the proposed “No Parking” restrictions.
vii. All
traffic control devices shall comply with the requirements of ‘AS1742,
Australian Standard Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices’.
viii. Only
TfNSW accredited traffic controllers shall be used to control traffic at the
entry and exit points of the shopping centre in Park Road and The Avenue,
Hurstville.
(b) That
the timed parking zones on both sides of Cross Street, between Park Road and
The Avenue, be replaced with “No Parking” from Friday 18 December
2020 to Monday 4 January 2021.
(c) That
the timed parking zones on the eastern side of Park Road, between Humphreys
Lane and Cross Street, be replaced with “No Parking” from Friday
18 December 2020 to Monday 4 January 2021.
(d) That
the timed parking zones on the western side of The Avenue, between Cross
Street and the loading docks of the shopping centre, be replaced with
“No Parking” from Friday 18 December 2020 to Monday 4 January
2021.
(e) Further
that Westfield Management be advised of Council’s decision.
