Alternate Voting Procedures - COVID-19

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, Council conducted this meeting remotely by email exchange. This procedure was supported by all Georges River Local Traffic Advisory Committee voting members.

That the Minutes of the Georges River Local Traffic Advisory Committee Meeting held on 01 September 2020 be adopted.

TAC137-20        Peake Parade, Peakhurst - Proposed "No Parking" zone

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

RECOMMENDATION

That a 15m “No Parking” zone be installed on the northern side of Peake Parade, Peakhurst adjacent to No. 12, as shown on plan TC2078 attached to the report.

TAC141-20        Kensington Street, Kogarah - Proposed "No Parking, GoGet Car Share Vehicles Excepted" zone

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

RECOMMENDATION

(a)     That the existing “No Parking, GoGet Car Share Vehicles Excepted” zone on the southern side of Kensington Street, be removed and converted to “2P, 6am - 6pm, Mon - Fri, Permit Holders Excepted Area 1”.

(b)     That 5.5m of the existing “2P, 6am - 6pm, Mon - Fri, Permit Holders Excepted Area 1” on the northern side of Kensington Street be converted to a “No Parking, GoGet Car Share Vehicles Excepted” zone, as shown on plan TC2185 attached to the report.

That 5.5m of the existing “No Stopping” zone on the western side of Montgomery Street, Kogarah near the Medical Centre at No. 59, be converted to “No Parking” as shown on plan TC2183 attached to the report.

RECOMMENDATION

That 35m of the existing “Bus Zone, Mon - Fri” on Isaac Street, adjacent to Georges River College, be converted to “No Parking, 8am – 9:30am, 2:30pm – 4pm, School Days” as shown on plan TC2170 attached to the report.

(b)     That a “No Stopping” zone be installed on the northern and southern side of Ethel Lane between Lily Lane and Lily Street, as shown on plan TC2178 attached to the report.

That a 20m “Bus Zone’’ be installed on the northern side of Trafalgar Street, Peakhurst, opposite No. 51 Trafalgar Street, Peakhurst, as shown on plan TC2173 attached to the report.

RECOMMENDATION

(a)     That a 20m “Bus Zone” be installed on the eastern side of Gloucester Road, Hurstville adjacent to No. 246, as shown on plan TC2171 attached to the report.

(b)     That a 35m “Bus Zone’’ be installed on the western side of Gloucester Road, Hurstville, south of Stoney Creek Road, as shown on plan TC2172 attached to the report.

TAC149-20        Carrington Avenue, Hurstville - Proposed "Works Zone" adjacent to No.4

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

RECOMMENDATION

(a)     That the existing “2P, 8.30am - 6pm, Mon - Fri, 8.30am - 12.30pm, Sat” zone at the southern end of Carrington Avenue, adjacent to No. 4, be converted to a “Work Zone, 7am - 5pm, Mon - Sat” for a period of 24 weeks commencing in October 2020, as shown on plan TC2184 attached to the report.

(b)     That the parking be returned to its current status at the completion of the “Works Zone” period.

TAC139-20        Kensington Street, Kogarah - Proposed Raised Pedestrian Crossing

RECOMMENDATION

(a)     That a raised pedestrian crossing be constructed in Kensington Street, between the Princes Highway and Bank Lane, as shown on Plan U506 attached to the report.

(b)     That the nearby residents and businesses be notified of the decision.

RECOMMENDATION

That a dividing centreline be painted on Wright Street, north and south of the pedestrian crossing near Orange Lane, as shown on plan TC2181 attached to the report.

RECOMMENDATION

That the request for “Keep Clear” road markings in Croydon Road at its intersection with Barnards Avenue, as shown on plan TC2177 attached to the report, be denied.

RECOMMENDATION

That 18m of the existing “1P, 8.30am – 6pm Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 12.30pm Sat” zone on the southern side of Regent Street adjacent to the Medical Clinic be converted to “1P, 7am – 7pm Mon – Fri, 8am – 3pm Sat”, as shown on plan TC2179 attached to the report.

TAC154-20        Woniora Road, South Hurstville - Proposed "Bus Zone" and "No Stopping" Changes

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

RECOMMENDATION

(a)     That a 20m “Bus Zone, Mon – Sat” be installed on the northern side of Woniora Road near the intersection with King Street.

(b)     That the existing “No Stopping” zone on the northern side of Woniora Road, near the pedestrian refuge, be modified to comply with TfNSW requirements, as shown on plan TC2180 attached to the report.
