Endorsement

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, Council proposed that the meeting be conducted remotely by email. This proposal has been accepted by all Traffic Advisory Committee voting members.

Recommendation

That the existing separation lines in Lorraine Street, between Isaac Street and Hannons Avenue, be converted to a double barrier line, as shown on plan TC2072 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC041-20        Nielsen Avenue, Carlton - Proposed "Give Way" linemarking

Recommendation

That “Give Way” line marking and associated signage be installed on Nielsen Avenue, Carlton at the intersection of Anglo Square, as shown on plan TC2088 attached to the report.

Recommendation

That “Give Way” line marking be installed on Pindari Road, Peakhurst Heights at the intersection of Isaac Street, as shown on plan TC2084 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC043-20        Stanley Street, Peakhurst - Proposed "Works Zone" adjacent to No. 64

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)     That a 53m “Works Zone, 7am – 5pm, Mon – Sat” be installed on the northern side of Stanley Street, Peakhurst adjacent to No.64 Stanley Street for a period of 52 weeks commencing in March 2020.

(b)     That the “Mail Zone” and post box be temporarily relocated to Lorraine Street during the construction period, as shown on the attached plan TC2089.

(c)     That the parking be returned to its current status at the completion of the “Works Zone” period.

 

 

TAC044-20        The Avenue, Hurstville - Proposed “Works Zone”

Recommendation

(a)     That 30 metres of the existing “2P, 8.30am – 6pm, Mon-Fri, 8.30am – 12.30pm, Sat” zone on the western side of The Avenue, adjacent to Westfield Hurstville, be converted to “Works Zone, 7am – 5pm, Mon – Sat” for a period of 4 weeks commencing in April 2020.

(b)     That the parking be returned to its current status at the completion of the “Works Zone” period.

 

 

 

 

 

TAC045-20        Mortdale Carpark - Proposed "Motor Bike" Parking

Recommendation

That the existing “3P, 8.30am – 6pm Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 12.30pm Sat” parking space on the southern side of the Mortdale carpark, adjacent to the electrical substation, be converted to 6 “P, Motor Bikes Only” spaces, as shown on plan TC2073 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC046-20        Cook Street, Mortdale - Proposed ''No Parking'' Zones

Recommendation

(a)     That the existing “No Parking” zone on the northern side of Cook Street, from No.’s 8 – 12 be extended by 24m.

 

(b)     That an 18m ‘’No Parking’’ zone be installed on the southern side of Cook St, from No.’s 17 – 21, as shown on the plan TC2071 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC047-20        Myerla Crescent, Connells Point - Proposed ''No Parking'' zone

Recommendation

That a 50m “No Parking’’ zone be installed at the cul-de-sac end of Myerla Crescent, Connells Point, as shown on plan TC2077 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC048-20        Park Road, Carlton - Proposed "Bus Zone" extension

Recommendation

That the existing “Bus Zone” on the northern side of Park Road, adjacent to No. 66, be extended 7 metres, as shown on plan TC2090 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC049-20        Terry Street, Blakehurst - Request to formalise existing Bus Stop (2221100).

Recommendation

That a 20m “Bus Zone” be installed on the southern side of Terry Street, Blakehurst adjacent to No. 88, as shown on plan TC2074 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC050-20        Parkside Drive, Kogarah Bay - Proposed Parking Sign Changes

Recommendation

That the parking signs on the western side of Parkside Drive adjacent to the new footpath be converted from “90° Angle Parking, Front to Fence” to “Parallel Parking” as shown on plan TC2086 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC051-20        Morshead Drive, Connells Point - Proposed Speed Cushions

Recommendation

That rubber speed cushions with associated signage be installed in 4 locations on Morshead Drive, between Rickard Road and Duggan Crescent, Connells Point, as shown on plan TC2087 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC052-20        Peakhurst Traffic Study

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

Recommendation

(a)     That the report on the Peakhurst Traffic Study be received and noted.

(b)     That no changes be made to the travel direction of any streets in the Peakhurst precinct.

(c)     That residents of Pearce Avenue be consulted on the proposed “No Parking” restrictions on the western side of the street, between Trafalgar Street and Lawrence Street, and that the results of the consultation be brought back to a future Traffic Committee meeting.

 

 

TAC053-20        Forest Road, Hurstville - Proposed Temporary Road Closure

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)     That the “Construction Traffic Management Plan (Tower Crane Height Increment)” prepared by Transport and Traffic Planning Associates in March 2020, attached to this report, for the proposed temporary road closure of Forest Road, Hurstville, be approved.

(b)     That the preferred time of the closure, be at night, as there is no impact to existing public transport services.
