Recommendation

That a “Give Way” sign with associated line marking be installed in Lynwood Street at its intersection with Joseph Street, Blakehurst, as shown on plan TC2006 attached to the report.

 

 

 

TAC164-19       Roberts Avenue, Peakhurst - Proposed "No Stopping" extension

Recommendation

That the existing “No Stopping” zone on the northern side of Roberts Avenue, east of Lorraine Street, be extended 11m, as shown on plan TC2005 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC165-19       Forest Road, Lugarno - Proposed "No Stopping" zone extension

Recommendation

That the existing “No Stopping” zone on the western side of Forest Road, Lugarno be extended 7m south of Redgum Drive, as shown on plan TC2004 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC166-19       Belmore Road, Peakhurst - Proposed Line Marking

Recommendation

(a)     That only the hold lines road markings be painted in Belmore Road at its intersection with Stewart Avenue, without the words “KEEP CLEAR”

(b)     That 3 additional “Right Turn” arrows be painted on Belmore Road near Stewart Avenue, as shown on plan TC2007 attached to the report.

(c)     That the intersection be monitored for 6 months Period

 

 

TAC167-19       Greenacre Road, South Hurstville - Proposed "Bus Zone"

Recommendation

(a)     That a 20m “Bus Zone, 8am – 9.30am, 2.30pm – 4pm, School Days” be installed on the western side of Greenacre Road, opposite Mimosa Street, as shown on plan TC2008 attached to the report.

(b)     That the nearby residents be notified of Council’s decision.

 

 

TAC168-19       Boundary Road, Mortdale - Proposed Timed Parking Zone

Recommendation

That a 35m “2P, 8am – 4pm, Mon – Fri” zone be installed on the eastern side of Boundary Road, between Treloar Avenue and Sparkes Avenue, Mortdale as shown on plan TC2010 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC169-19       White Ribbon Walk, Kogarah - Proposed Temporary Road Closures

Recommendation

That approval be granted to temporarily close streets on the route of Council’s “White Ribbon Walk” event, from Kogarah Park to Kogarah Town Square, between 10am and 12pm on Friday, 22 November 2019, as shown on the Traffic Control Plan attached to the report.

 

 

TAC170-19       Railway Parade, Kogarah - Proposed "1/2P" zone

Recommendation

That a 31m “1/2P, 8.30am-6pm, Mon-Fri, 8.30am-12.30pm, Sat” zone be installed on the southern side of Railway Parade, Kogarah as shown on plan TC2011 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC171-19       Montgomery Street, Kogarah - Proposed "Works Zone"

Recommendation

(a)     That an 18m “Works Zone, 7am – 5pm, Mon – Sat” be installed on the eastern side of Montgomery Street, Kogarah adjacent to No.’s 22 – 26 Montgomery Street for a period of 35 weeks commencing in February 2020.

(b)     That the parking be returned to its current status at the completion of the “Works Zone” period.

 

 

TAC172-19       Pindari Road, Peakhurst Heights - Proposed "Give Way" linemarking

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)     That Give Way line marking and associated signage be installed on Pindari Road, Peakhurst Heights at the shopping complex, as shown on plan TC1999 attached to the report.

(b)     That an additional arrow road marking be installed at the intersection on Pindari Road, Peakhurst Heights.

 

 

TAC173-19       Pindari Road, Peakhurst Heights - Proposed Removal of Line Marking

Recommendation

That 8m of the existing BB centreline on Pindari Road, adjacent to Merri Avenue, Peakhurst Heights, be removed, as shown on plan TC2013 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC174-19       Weemala Avenue, Riverwood - Proposed Speed Advisory Signs

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

That the “Reverse Curve” signs and supplementary speed advisory signage be installed on the approaches to the bend on Weemala Avenue, Riverwood as shown on plan TC2014 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC175-19       Rona Street, Peakhurst - Request for Speed Calming Devices

(Report by Senior Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

That NSW Police Highway Patrol be requested to continue monitoring and enforcing speed limits in Rona Street, Peakhurst.

 

 

 

 

TAC176-19       Mashman Avenue Kingsgrove -  Installation of Custom Road Safety Signage

(Report by Senior Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

That Council carryout a design investigation to explore design options that can improve pedestrian movement at Mashman Avenue near the rear of 233 Kingsgrove Road, Kingsgrove.

 

   

General Business

·         Belmore Road and surrounding streets in Riverwood – Request for installation of High Pedestrian Activity Area- Council’s Coordinator of Traffic and Road Safety to liaise with RMS in regards to implementing the scheme.

·         Intersection of Penshurst Street and Bridge Street, Penshurst (near TJs Coffee House) – Present a report to the Traffic advisory Committee with investigation findings in regards to the installation of 2 additional Bollards along the eastern side of the intersection

·         Rowe Street at its intersection of Connells Point Road- Present a report to Traffic Advisory Committee with investigation findings in regards to installing a median island in Rowe Street.

·         Delivery Trucks for Coles Oatley - NSW Police Highway Patrol and Council parking officers to enforce the Road Rules and Council to write once more to Coles Management, requesting that they communicate to their truck drivers that the breach of Road Rules need to cease.

·         Oatley Park Oatley – 

a)    NSW Police Highway Patrol enforce the posted speed limit in the park

b)    Council’s rangers and parking officers enforce illegal driver behaviour

c)    Council’s Road Safety Officer carryout an educational campaign to all road users of the park in regards to driver behaviour and safety around public parks

·         Lobb Crescent near intersection of Jubilee Ave – Beverly Park – Investigate extending No Stopping restriction to cover the distance of the existing double centreline.
