Recommendation

That further Traffic Calming measures be investigated and brought back to the Traffic Advisory Committee for review and consideration.

 

 

TAC002-19       Carrington Avenue, Hurstville - Proposed 'No Stopping' Zone Extension

Recommendation

That the existing ‘No Stopping’ zone on the eastern side of Carrington Avenue, Hurstville be extended 14.5m north of its current location, as shown on plan TC1861 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC003-19       Pacific Avenue, Penshurst - Proposed "No Stopping" Zone

Recommendation

That 8.5m of the existing “No Parking, 6am – 6pm, Mon – Fri, 6am – 12.30pm, Sat” be converted to a “No Stopping” zone on the western side of Pacific Avenue, Penshurst, as shown on plan TC1873 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC004-19       Vanessa Street, Kingsgrove - Proposed "No Stopping" Zone

Recommendation

That a 24m “No Stopping” zone be installed on the northern side of Vanessa Street Kingsgrove, adjacent 109 – 111 Kingsgrove Business Park, as shown on plan TC1877 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC005-19       Boundary Road, Oatley - Proposed 'Bus Zone'

Recommendation

That a 23m “Bus Zone” be installed on the western side of Boundary Road, Oatley adjacent to No. 15, as shown on plan TC1880 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC006-19       Morgan Street, Kingsgrove - Proposed 'Bus Zone' Relocation

Recommendation

THAT  the request to relocate the current ‘Bus Zone’ on Morgan Street, Kingsgrove adjacent number’s 148 – 150, approximately 100m east to the corner of Colwell Street, be denied.

 

 

TAC007-19       Carlton Crescent, Carss Park - Proposed "Bus Zone"

Recommendation

That a 22m “Bus Zone” be installed on the southern side of Carlton Crescent, Carss Park, east of Carwar Avenue, as shown on plan TC1879 attached to the report.

 

 

 

 

TAC008-19       Moons Avenue, Lugarno - Proposed Give-Way Line Marking

Recommendation

That a 14m Give-Way Holding Line (TB & TB1) and associated signage be installed in Moons Avenue Lugarno, at the intersection outside No. 96 – 98, as shown on plan TC1889 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC009-19       Pitt Street, Mortdale - Proposed Line Marking

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)     That a 10m Dividing Barrier Line (BB) with Yellow Raised Reflective Pavement Markers (YY) be painted 6.4m from the face of kerb in Pitt Street, Mortdale.

(b)     That a 21m Give-Way Holding Line (TB & TB1) and associated signage be installed in Pitt Street Mortdale, at the intersection of Boundary Road, as shown on plan TC1878 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC010-19       Croydon Road, Hurstville - Additional "Do Not Queue Across Intersection" Sign

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

a)    That an additional “Do Not Queue Across Intersection” sign be installed in Croydon Road Hurstville, on the northern corner of Barnards Avenue, as show on plan TC1876 attached to the report.

b)    THAT Give-Way restriction be installed in Barnards Avenue with associated signs and linemarking.

 

 

TAC011-19       Kyle Parade, Kyle Bay - Proposed Line Marking and Sign Changes

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

Recommendation

(a)     That the car parking spaces on the eastern and western side of Kyle Parade, south of Merriman Street, be line marked in accordance with the requirements of the "Australian Standards 2890.5 - 1993, On-Street Parking" document with the supplementary “Park In Bays Only” signs.

(b)     That Australia Post be requested to relocate the existing Mail Box in Kyle Parade, into Merriman Street and the associated “No Parking, Australia Post Vehicles Excepted” zone be installed.

(c)     That the existing “No Stopping” zone on the western side of Kyle Parade, south of the roundabout be extended 2m towards the south, as shown on plan TC1881 attached to the report.

 

 

 

 

 

TAC012-19       Romilly Street, Riverwood - Proposed Advisory Signs

Recommendation

That curve and speed advisory signs be installed in Romilly Street and Thurlow Street, Riverwood as shown on plan TC1883 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC013-19       Oatley Parade, Oatley - Proposed Roundabout at River Road Intersection

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

Recommendation

(a)  THAT additional linemarking options be investigated to improve the right turn movement from River Road into Oatley Parade and improve pedestrian safety associated with the left turn movement from Oatley Parade into River Road.

 

(b)  THAT the amended linemarking option be brought back to a future traffic committee for review and consideration of treatment options at this intersection.

 

 

TAC014-19       East Street, Blakehurst - Traffic Investigations

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

Recommendation

(a)     That the report on the traffic investigations in Blakehurst be received and noted.

(b)     That the faded line markings at the intersection of East Street and Oberon Street be repainted.

(c)     That a “Give Way” sign and associated line marking be installed in Taro Street at its intersection with Church Street, as shown on plan TC1885 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC015-19       Flora Street, Narwee - Proposed intersection treatment

Recommendation

(a)     That a 10m BB Centreline, be installed on Flora Street at the intersection of Gardinia Street, Narwee, as shown on the plan TC1886, attached to the report.

(b)     That a 30m Give Way line and associated signage be installed on Flora Street at the intersection of Gardinia Street, Narwee.

 

 

TAC016-19       Dame Mary Gilmore Road, Oatley - Proposed BB Centreline

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

That a 60m double centreline be installed along Dame Mary Gilmore Road, Oatley, between Park Avenue and Oatley Park Avenue, as per the plan attached to the report.

 

 

 

 

TAC017-19       Kensington Street, Kogarah - Proposed Parking Changes

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

That the existing “1/4P, 8.30am-6pm, Mon-Fri, 8.30am-12.30pm, Sat” zone on the southern side of Kensington Street, Kogarah, be converted to a “1/2P, 8.30am-6pm, Mon-Fri, 8.30am-12.30pm, Sat” zone, as shown on the plan TC1887 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC018-19       Woodville Street, Hurstville - Proposed "Disabled Parking Only" Zone

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)  That a 7m “Disabled Parking Only” zone be installed adjacent to No. 8 Woodville Street, Hurstville as shown on plan TC1888 attached to the report.

(b)  That the proposed disabled parking space be DDA compliant and in accordance with AS2890.5-1993 On Street Parking.

 

 

TAC019-19       Centre Street, Penshurst - Proposed "Works Zone"

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)     That a 20m “Works Zone, 7am-5pm, Mon-Sat” be installed on the western side of Centre Street, Penshurst for a period of 60 weeks commenting on 1st April 2019.

(b)     That a 40m “Works Zone, 7am-5pm, Mon-Sat” be installed on the Eastern side of Centre Street, Penshurst for a period of 60 weeks commenting on 1st April 2019.

(c)     That Council provide notification to the residents notifying them of the proposed Works Zone.

(d)     That the parking be returned to its current status at the completion of the “Works Zone” period.

 

 

TAC020-19       Littleton Street, Riverwood - Community Street Fair

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)  That the road closure of Littleton Street, between Belmore Road and Erskine Street, Riverwood on 9th March 2019, for the Community Street Fair, in accordance with the Traffic Control Plan attached to the report, be approved.

(b)  THAT the road closure approval be subject to the event organisers submitting a hostile vehicle mitigation strategy prepared by an appropriately qualified professional in accordance with NSW Police requirements.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

TAC021-19       Bridge Street, Penshurst - Road Closure for Penshurst RSL Sub Branch Anzac Day Services

(Report by Senior Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

 

a)   THAT the request from Penshurst RSL sub branch to temporarily close part of Bridge Street between Apsley Street and Penshurst Street from 4:30 am to 7:30 am on Thursday 25 April 2019 be approved.

 

b)   THAT the request from Penshurst RSL sub branch to temporarily close part of Connelly Street between Forest Road and Bridge Street from 4:30am to 7:30am on Thursday 25 April 2019 be approved.

 

c)   THAT Penshurst RSL sub branch submit a Traffic Management Plan (TMP) to Council, RMS and Police for approval at least ten (10) days before the proposed road closure.

 

 

TAC022-19       Cook Lane Mortdale- Road Safety Concerns

(Report by Senior Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)  THAT the existing “Give Way” restriction in Cook Lane, south of Cook Street, Mortdale be upgraded to a “STOP” restriction as shown in attached plan TC1886

(b)  THAT a “Give Way to Pedestrian” R2-10 sign be installed in Cook Lane south of Cook Street, Mortdale.
