Major Events Advisory Committee - 12 November 2018

Recommendation

That the Minutes of the Major Events Advisory Committee held on 12 November 2018, be confirmed.

Council Reports

MAJ001-19       Australia Day Festival Update

(Report by Coordinator, Events and Sponsorship)

Recommendation

(a) That Council receive and note the Australia Day Festival event update report.

(b) That the budget and forecast for Australia Day and Lunar New Year events be provided to MEAC committee members by 24 January 2019.

(c) That the MEAC Chair work with the Director and Event staff regarding staging for the Australia Day Festival.

MAJ002-19       Lunar New Year Festival update

(Report by Coordinator, Events and Sponsorship)

Recommendation

(a) That Council receive and note the Lunar New Year Festival event update report.

(b) That the Director Community and Culture confirm the status of any current Development Application in relation to sponsors.

(c) That a list of sponsorship values be provided to the MEAC committee for Australia Day and Lunar New Year events.

(d) That MEAC Councillors do not receive certificates of appreciation.
