That the Minutes of the Community Development and Services Advisory held on 20 February 2018, as previously made available to the Committee, be adopted.

CDS007-18       Grants Programs

(Report by Coordinator Community Development)

Recommendation: Councillor Wu and Ms Bishop

(a) That the Committee receives and notes the report presented in relation to Council’s current grant programs.

(b) That Council staff investigate options to simplify the application process for regular venue hire grant applicants, including the implementation of electronic grant funding systems (eg SmartyGrants)

CDS008-18       Access and Inclusion Reference Group

(Report by Coordinator Community Development)

Recommendation: Ms Bishop and Ms Sharpe

That the Committee receives and notes the report relating to activities undertaken by Council’s Access and Inclusion Reference Group.

CDS009-18       Multicultural Reference Group

(Report by Coordinator Community Development)

Recommendation: Ms Sharpe and Ms Bishop

That the Committee receives and notes the report presented in relation to the activities of Council’s Multicultural Reference Group.

CDS010-18       Youth Advisory Committee

Recommendation: Ms Iqbal and Ms Bishop

That the Committee receives and notes the report presented in relation to the activities of Council’s Youth Advisory Committee.

CDS011-18       Community Development Initiatives

(Report by Coordinator Community Development)

Recommendation: Ms Bishop and Ms Sharpe

(a)     That the Committee receives and notes the enclosed additional Community Development initiatives contained within this report.

(b)     That the Committee provides feedback to Council officers on any Community Development projects for further consideration.
