That the Minutes of the Traffic Advisory Committee Meeting held on 21 February 2017 be confirmed as adopted by Council on 6 March 2017.

TAC016-17        Dora Street Hurstville - Request for installing a Bus Zone

Committee Recommendation

(a)     That a 10 metre statutory “No Stopping” restriction followed by a 15 metre “Bus Zone” be installed in Dora Street north of Dalcassia Street, Hurstville.

 

 

TAC017-17        Park Road and The Avenue, Hurstville - Danebank Autumn Fair 2017

Committee Recommendation

That the request to change the on-street parking along Park Road and The Avenue, Hurstville adjoining Danebank School to 90 degree angle parking on Saturday, 13 May 2017 from 6am to 9pm to facilitate the Danebank School’s Autumn Fair be approved.

 

 

TAC018-17        Macquarie Place Mortdale - Request for No Parking

Committee Recommendation

(a)     That a “No Parking” zone be installed along the driveway crossing at 11-15 Macquarie Place, Mortdale to stop vehicles from blocking access to these premises.

 

 

TAC019-17        Riverwood Plaza - request for No Stopping and Loading Zone Signs

Committee Recommendation

(a)     That a “No Stopping” restriction be installed along the service lane at the back of Riverwood Plaza to allow for loading vehicles to manoeuvre to leave the site in a forward direction.

(b)     That a 12 metre “Loading Zone” restriction be installed along the back of property 265A Belmore Road.

 

 

TAC020-17        Georges River Local Government Area - ANZAC Marches

Committee Recommendation

(a)     That approval be granted to temporarily close streets on the Oatley RSL Sub-Branch ANZAC march route from 1.45pm on Sunday, 23 April 2017, in accordance with the details outlined in paragraph 4 of the report and as shown on plan L566 attached to the report.

(b)     That approval be granted to temporarily close streets on the South Hurstville RSL Sub-Branch ANZAC march route from 5:30am on Tuesday, 25 April 2017, in accordance with the details outlined in paragraph 5 of the report and as shown on plan L567 attached to the report.

(c)     That approval be granted to temporarily close streets on the Kogarah RSL Sub-Branch ANZAC march route from 7:15am on Tuesday, 25 April 2017, in accordance with the details outlined in paragraph 6 of the report and as shown on plan L568 attached to the report.

(d)     That approval be granted to Club Rivers to temporarily occupy three (3) parking spaces in Littleton Street, Riverwood from 8am to 10am on Sunday, 23 April 2017 and to temporarily close streets on the Riverwood Sub-Branch ANZAC march route from 5am to 11am on Tuesday, 25 April 2017, in accordance with the details outlined in paragraphs 7 – 9 of the report.  Club Rivers shall submit a Traffic Control Plan (TCP) to Council, RMS and NSW Police for approval and notify affected businesses and residents prior to the closure.

(d)     That the Sub-Branches be advised of Council’s decision.

 

 

TAC021-17        Kogarah CBD - Temporary Road Closures for Greek Orthodox Easter - UBD 294 G5

Committee Recommendation

(a)     That approval be granted to close Belgrave Street, Kogarah, from Post Office Lane to Kensington Street, between 6pm and 11pm on Friday, 14 April 2017 and from 10pm Saturday, 15 April 2017 to 1:30am Sunday, 16 April 2017 for the Greek Orthodox Easter celebrations, as shown on plan TC1122 attached to the report.

(b)     That approval be granted to temporarily close streets on the Greek Orthodox Easter procession route at 8:30pm on Friday, 14 April 2017, in accordance with the details outlined in paragraph 5 of this report, and as shown on the Procession Route Plan attached to the report.

(c)     That the residents and businesses in Belgrave Street be advised of the closures.

 

 

TAC022-17        Park Road, Carlton - Proposed "No Stopping" zone - UBD 294 C10

Committee Recommendation

(a)     That a 13.5 metre “No Stopping” zone be installed on the western side of Park Road, south of Waterview Street, as shown on plan TC1579 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC023-17        Neville Street, Oatley - Proposed Temporary Road Closure for Oatley Scouts - UBD 293 C13

Committee Recommendation

(a)     That approval be granted to temporarily close Neville Street, Oatley, from Oatley Parade to Oatley Avenue, between 6am and 5pm on Saturday, 6 May 2017, as shown on the Traffic Control Plan attached to the report.

(b)     That the President of the 1st Oatley Bay Sea Scouts be advised of Council’s decision.

 

 

TAC024-17        Gray Lane, Kogarah - Proposed "No Parking" Restrictions - UBD 294 H7

(a)     That a “No Parking” and “No Stopping” zone be installed on the western side of Gray Lane, south of Gray Street, as shown on plan TC1580 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC025-17        Ocean Lane, Mortdale - Request for No Parking Restrictions

(a)     That “No Parking” restrictions be installed along both sides of Ocean Lane, Mortdale between Junction Street and Newman Street.

TAC026-17        Pindari Road, Peakhurst Heights - Request for Extended No Stopping Restriction

Committee Recommendation

(a)     That the existing 10 metre “No Stopping” restriction on Pindari Road, south of Jindabyne Crescent be extended to 20 metres to improve sight distance for motorists.

(b)     That the resident be advised of Council’s decision.

 

 

TAC027-17        1-9 Dora Street, Hurstville - Request to Extend Parking Restrictions

Committee Recommendation

(a)     That the “1P 8:30am-3:00pm, Mon-Fri, 8:30am-12:30pm Sat, and No Parking 3pm-7pm Mon-Fri” restriction adjacent to 1-9 Dora Street, Hurstville be extended by 10 metres.

 

 

TAC028-17        45 Waratah Street, Oatley - Request for a Works Zone

Committee Recommendation

(a)     That a 10 metre long “Works Zone” to operate from 7am-5pm, Monday to Saturday be installed adjacent to 45 Waratah Street, Oatley for a duration of 12 weeks, provided that the applicant pay the necessary fees and charges in accordance with Council’s adopted Schedule of Fees and Charges for 2016-17.

(b)     Further that the applicant be advised of Council’s decision.

 

 

TAC029-17        Wyuna Street and Stubbs Street, Beverley Park - Proposed Give Way Sign - UBD 294E10

Committee Recommendation

(a)     That a “Give Way” sign be installed in Wyuna Street, Beverley Park at the intersection of Stubbs Street, as shown on the attached plan TC1584.

 

 

TAC030-17        Ada Street and Neville Street, Oatley - Proposed Intersection Warning Signs - UBD 293D14

(Report by Assistant Traffic Engineer, Samuel Lindsay)

Committee Recommendation

(a)     That a “T-intersection” warning sign be installed with supplementary distance indicator be installed on Ada Street, 60m from the intersection of Neville Street, Oatley as shown on the plan TC1582 attached to the report.

(b)     That a bi-directional hazard marker be installed adjacent to 22A Neville Street, Oatley.

(c)     That the request to make Ada Street, Oatley a cul-de-sac be denied.

(d)     That the resident be advised of Council’s decision.

 

 

 

 

TAC031-17        Tooronga Terrace Beverly Hills - Raised Pedestrian Crossing

Committee Recommendation

(a)     That the request to retain and upgrade the existing raised pedestrian crossing in Tooronga Terrace, Beverly Hills be deferred to the next Traffic Advisory Committee to allow the traffic section to investigate the impact that the upgrade will have on traffic in Tooronga Terrace, Beverly Hills.

 

 

TAC032-17        Tucker Lane Peakhurst Heights - Installation of speed humps

Committee Recommendation

(a)     That Council install 2 x rubber speed humps in Tucker Lane west of Pindari Road Peakhurst West, with associated signs.
