COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION

That the Minutes of the Traffic Advisory Committee Meeting held on 20 December 2016 be confirmed as adopted by Council on 6 February 2017.

TAC002-17 Hannons Avenue Peakhurst - Request for 2P restriction

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION

(a) That the residents request to install 2P restriction outside his home in Hannons Avenue Peakhurst be denied as this will set a precedent.

(b) That the resident be encouraged to submit an application to widen his driveway to help facilitate easier egress out of his property.

TAC003-17 Botany Street Carlton - Request for disabled parking.

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION

(a) That a 6.7m disabled parking space be installed outside the resident’s home at 80 Botany Street Carlton.

(b) That the disabled parking space be reviewed on annual basis to establish if it is still required.

TAC004-17 St George Community Transport - Request for designated parking areas in Hurstville CBD

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION

(a) That Council’s decision to not support the provision of designated parking for St George Community Transport Services for their vehicles stands, due to the very high demand for parking in Hurstville CBD.

(b) That St George Community Transport Services be advised of Council’s decision.

TAC005-17 Roberts Avenue intersection with Bowman Street Mortdale - Request for no stopping restriction

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION

(a) That 15 metres of “No Stopping” restriction be installed on Roberts Avenue east of Bowman Street, Mortdale.

(b) That the existing Bus Zone on the southern side of Roberts Avenue outside no 19 be extended by 5 metres west.

TAC006-17 Boundary Road Mortdale - Request for a Pedestrian Refuge outside Mortdale Community Centre

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION

(a) That the request for a pedestrian refuge in Boundary Road outside of Mortdale Community Centre be denied due to impact on the neighbouring resident’s access as well as loss of strategic car parking spaces.

(b) That Mr Mark Coure, MP, Member for Oatley be advised of Council’s decision.

TAC007-17 Ocean Street, Penshurst - Request for No Parking Restriction

(a) That the request to install 14.5 metres of No Parking restriction across the driveway crossing of 71 and 73 Ocean Street, Penshurst be approved.

(b) That the resident be advised of Council’s decision.

TAC008-17 Samuel Street, Peakhurst - Change to Bus Zone times

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION

(a) That the existing 20 metre ‘Bus Zone, 8am – 9:30am and 2:30pm – 4pm School Days’ adjacent to 2 Coronation Avenue, Peakhurst be changed to ‘Bus Zone, 8am – 9:00am School Days’

(b) That Georges River College Peakhurst Campus be advised of Council’s decision.

TAC009-17 108-112 Boundary Road, Mortdale - Request for No Parking Restriction

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION

(a) That a “No Parking” restriction be installed across the driveway crossing of 108-112 Boundary Road, Mortdale.

(b) That Certified Strata be advised of Council’s decision.

TAC010-17 Belmore Road, Peakhurst - Upgrade existing pedestrian crossing

(a) That this matter be deferred to a future traffic committee meeting to obtain further advise from RMS.

TAC011-17 Intersection of Baker Street and Lansdowne Parade, Oatley - Request for Line-marking

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION

(a) That 10 metres of double white centre lines be installed on Baker Street either side of Lansdowne Parade, Oatley (northern intersection).

(b) That 10 metres of double white centre lines be installed on Lansdowne Parade, Oatley (northern intersection).

(c) Give-way lines to be installed at the intersection of Lansdowne Parade and Baker Street, Oatley (northern intersection).

(d) Give-way signage to be installed at the intersection of Lansdowne Parade and Baker Street, Oatley (northern intersection).

(e) Further that the resident be advised of council’s decision.

TAC012-17 Jubilee Oval Traffic Management Plan 2017

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION

(a) That the “Traffic Management Plan, Jubilee Oval” submitted by Traffic Logistics for NRL matches during the 2017 season be approved.

(b) That Traffic Logistics be advised of Council’s decision.

TAC013-17 Premier Street, Kogarah - Proposed "Works Zone" - UBD 294 H4

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION

(a) That 18m of the existing “2P, 6am – 6pm, Mon – Fri, Permit Holders Excepted, Area 1” zone on the eastern side of Premier Street, Kogarah, adjacent to No.’s 26 – 30, be converted to a “Works Zone, 7am – 5pm, Mon – Sat”, for a period of thirteen (13) weeks commencing in mid-February 2017, as shown on plan TC1518 attached to the report.

(b) That the parking be returned to its current status at the completion of the “Works Zone” period.

TAC014-17 Elizabeth Street, Allawah - Proposed "No Stopping" extension - UBD 294 A7

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION

(a) That the existing “No Stopping” zone on the western side of Elizabeth Street, south of Railway Parade, be extended 12m as shown on plan TC1578 attached to the report.

(b) That the adjacent residents be notified of Council’s decision.

TAC015-17 Belgrave Street, Kogarah - Proposed Temporary Road Closure - UBD 294 G5

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION

(a) That approval be granted to temporarily close Belgrave Street, Kogarah from Post Office Lane to Kensington Street, between 7.30am and 2.30pm on Saturday 4 March 2017 for Council’s “ANZAC and Lemnos Commemorative Statue and Plaque Unveiling” event, as shown on plan TC1122 attached to the report.
