TAC147-19       Clarendon Road, Peakhurst - Proposed "Bus Zones"

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

Recommendation

(a)     That a 20m “Bus Zone, 7.30am – 4pm, Mon – Fri” be installed on the northern side of Clarendon Road, adjacent to the stormwater channel at  No. 8.

(b)     That a 30m “Bus Zone, 7.30am – 4pm, Mon – Fri” be installed on the northern side of Clarendon Road, adjacent to No. 62, as shown on plans TC1986 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC148-19       Durham Street, Hurstville - Proposed "Bus Zone"

Recommendation

That a 30m “Bus Zone” be installed on the northern side of Durham Street, west of Roberts Lane, as shown on plan TC1993 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC149-19       Gungah Bay Road, Oatley - Proposed "Bus Zone"

Recommendation

That a 20m “Bus Zone” be installed on the western side of Gungah Bay Road, Oatley as shown on plan TC1996 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC150-19       Peakhurst Park - Lugarno Lions Festival - Proposed Parking Changes

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)     That the proposed temporary parking changes surrounding Peakhurst Park as shown in the attached plan TC2003, be installed during the week commencing the 9th September 2019.

(b)     That the parking be returned to its current state at the completion of the 2019 Lugarno Lions Festival at Peakhurst Park.

 

 

TAC151-19       Jersey Avenue, Mortdale - Proposed linemarking and "No Stopping" zone

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

That a 17m BB Centreline be installed on Jersey Avenue, Mortdale and a 17m “No Stopping” zone be installed on the eastern side of Jersey Avenue, Mortdale, as shown in the attached plan TC1995.

 

 

 

 

 

TAC152-19       Pindari Road, Peakhurst Heights - Proposed "Give Way" linemarking

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)     That Give Way line marking and associated signage be installed on Pindari Road, Peakhurst Heights at the shopping complex, as shown on the plan TC1999 attached to the report.

(b)     Further that an additional arrow road marking be installed at the intersection on Pindari Road, Peakhurst Heights.

 

 

TAC153-19       Tottenham Place, Blakehurst - Proposed "No Parking" zone

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

That a 37m “No Parking” zone be installed at the cul-de-sac end of Tottenham Place, Blakehurst, as shown on plan TC1994 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC154-19       Letitia Street, Oatley - Proposed "Works Zone" at 18b Letitia Street

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)     That 14 metres of the existing “1P, 8.30am – 6pm, Mon-Fri, 8.30am – 12.30pm, Sat” zone on the western side of Letitia Street, adjacent to No. 18b, be converted to “Works Zone, 7am – 5pm, Mon – Sat” for a period of 52 weeks commencing in September 2019.

(b)     That the parking be returned to its current status at the completion of the “Works Zone” period.

 

 

TAC155-19       Railway Parade, Kogarah - Proposed "1/4P" zone

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

That the existing “1/2P, 8.30am - 6pm, Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 12.30pm, Sat” zone on the southern side of Railway Parade, near the intersection of Bowns Road, Kogarah, be converted to “1/4P, 8.30am - 6pm, Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 12.30pm, Sat”, as shown on plan TC1984 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC156-19       Victoria Avenue, Penshurst - Extend existing Kiss and Ride zone

Recommendation

THAT the existing “No Parking, 8:00am – 9:30am, 2:30pm – 3:30pm School Days” outside Marist College be extended 20m west, as shown on plan TC2001 attached to the report.

 

 

 

 

 

 

TAC157-19       Penshurst Street, Penshurst - Proposed Speed Humps near Pedestrian Crossing

(Report by Senior Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)     That rubber speed humps be installed at both approaches to the pedestrian crossing in Penshurst Street, south of Rostrov Street, Penshurst.

(b)     That RMS be requested to relocate their 40km/h yellow patch north of the crossing to cater for the placement of the rubber speed hump.

 

 

TAC158-19       Road Safety Officer - 2 Year Road Safety Action Plan

(Report by Road Safety Officer)

Recommendation

That the proposed 2 Year Road Safety Action Plan for 2019/2020 to 2020/2021 be adopted.

 

 

TAC159-19       Netstrata Jubilee Stadium - Sydney FC Traffic Management Plan 2019/20

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

Recommendation

(a)     That approval be granted for roads near Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah to be closed for the Sydney FC matches during the 2019/20 season.

(b)     That the attached “Traffic Management Plan” and associated “Traffic Control Plans” submitted by Traffic Logistics be approved.

(c)     That Traffic Logistics apply for the RMS Road Occupancy Licence for each Sydney FC game at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium in the 2019/20 season.

(d)     That Traffic Logistics be advised of Council’s decision.

(e)     That a “Special Event Traffic Management Plan” be submitted to the RMS by Traffic Logistics prior to the closures occurring.

(f)      That a minimum of 1.5m footpath clearance be provided for pedestrians around any temporary signage and the VMS boards.

 

 

TAC160-19       Jubilee Avenue, Beverley Park - Proposed Parking Changes

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

Recommendation

(a)     That the existing 50m “No Parking, 6.30am – 9.30am, 3.30pm – 6.30pm, Mon – Fri” zone on the western side of Jubilee Avenue, south of the Princes Highway, be converted to “No Parking”.

(b)     That a “No Stopping” zone be installed on the western side of Jubilee Avenue, between the “No Parking” zone and the carpark driveway.

(c)     That 11m of the existing “No Parking” zone on the eastern side of Jubilee Avenue, north of Lobb Crescent, be removed, as shown on plan TC1997 attached to the report.

 

 

 

 

TAC161-19       Woniora Road, Blakehurst - Proposed Raised Pedestrian Crossing and Sign Changes

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

Recommendation

(a)     That a raised pedestrian crossing with associated signage be installed in Woniora Road, Blakehurst, adjacent to Blakehurst High School, in accordance with the RMS Technical Direction, and as shown on Plan U792 attached to the report.

(b)     That the parking restriction signs on the eastern and western side of Woniora Road be modified as shown on plan TC2002 attached to the report.

(c)     That the Principal of Blakehurst High School be advised of Council’s decision.

 

 

TAC162-19       Beverly Hills - Carpark Sign Changes

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

Recommendation

(a)     That three existing “3P, 7.30am – 9pm Mon – Fri, 8am – 4pm Sat” spaces on the southern side of the Frederick Avenue carpark be converted to “1P, 6am – 7pm Mon – Fri, 9am – 6pm Sat & Sun” as shown on plan TC1998 attached to the report.

(b)     That the Beresford Avenue carpark be reconfigured and signposted as shown on plan U730 attached to the report.

 

   

General Business

·         Myall Street, Oatley – Parking issues south of Mulga Road – Timed parking to be investigated and reported back to Mark Coure’s office.

·         Forest Road and Penshurst Street, Penshurst – RMS to investigate adding time to pedestrian phase across Forest Road to St Declan’s School

·         Cross Street, Mortdale – Off-street parking bays to be considered in future capital works program.

·         Jubilee Avenue, Beverley Park – Request for speed hump to be removed – Not supported by the Committee members. Police to increase their patrols to infringe trucks using street illegally between 7pm and 7am.

·         Park Road and Queens Road, Hurstville  - Council to request formal response from RMS signal phasing team and reported back to a future Traffic Committee meeting.

Conclusion
