TAC135-18       Pallamana Parade, Beverly Hills - Request to Formalise Existing Bus Stops

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)     That the existing Bus Stop on the eastern side of Pallamana Parade, Beverly Hills be formalised to a 29m “Bus Zone, 9am – 3pm, Mon - Fri”.

(b)     That the existing Bus Stop on the western side of Pallamana Parade, Beverly Hills be formalised to a 30m “Bus Zone, 9am – 3pm, Mon - Fri”, as shown on plan TC1795 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC166-18       George Street, South Hurstville - Request to Formalise Existing Bus Stops

Recommendation

(a)     That the existing Bus Stop on the eastern side of George Street, South Hurstville adjacent to No.’s 48 – 50, be formalised to a 26m “Bus Zone, Mon - Sat”, as shown on plan TC1792

(b)     That the formalisation of the existing Bus Stop on the western side of George Street, South Hurstville adjacent to No.’s 57 – 61, be deferred pending further investigation.

Recommendation

That a 15m “Bus Zone, Mon – Sat” with accompanying “No Stopping” zone be installed on the western side of Woronora Parade corner of Griffiths Street, Oatley, as shown on plan TC1798 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC168-18       Waitara Parade, Hurstville Grove - Request to Formalise Existing Bus Stop

Recommendation

(a)     That the existing Bus Stop on the eastern side of Waitara Parade, north of Jellicoe Street, Hurstville Grove be formalised to a 20m “Bus Zone”.

(b)     That a statutory 10m ‘No Stopping’ zone be installed at the intersection of Waitara Parade and Jellicoe Street, Hurstville Grove, as shown on plan TC1801 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC169-18       Mercury Street, Beverly Hills - Proposed "Bus Zone" relocation

Recommendation

(a)     That the request to relocate the existing 20m “Bus Zone” on the western side of Mercury Street, Beverly Hills, south towards Garden Grove, be denied.

(b)     That a 10m “No Stopping” zone be installed at the intersection of Garden Grove and Mercury Street.

 

 

TAC170-18       Boatwright Avenue, Lugarno - Proposed Dividing Centreline

Recommendation

That a 33m Dividing  Centreline (BB) and associated “No Stopping” zone be installed on Boatwright Avenue, Peakhurst, adjacent to the entrance to Gannons Park as per the plan TC1797 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC171-18       Ellen Subway, Mortdale - Proposed linemarking

Recommendation

That a 120m S1 dividing (separation) line be installed on Ellen Subway, between Cook Street and Railway Parade, Mortdale, as shown on the plan TC1810 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC172-18       Mortdale CBD - Proposed linemarking and signage

Recommendation

(a)     That linemarking be installed in Morts Road, Pitt Street and George Street, Mortdale, as shown on the plan TC1813 attached to the report.

(b)     That the “One Way” sign be installed on the existing power pole at the intersection of Morts Road and Macquarie Place, Mortdale.

 

 

TAC173-18       Morshead Drive, Connells Point - Proposed Give-Way Holding Line

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

That a 31m Give-Way Holding Line (TB & TB1) and associated signage be installed at Morshead Drive, at the intersection with Kyle Parade, Connells Point, as shown on plan TC1803 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC174-18       The Strand, Penshurst - Proposed island removal

Recommendation

That the existing concrete island on the northern side of The Strand, Penshurst, be removed, as per the plan TC1811 attached to the report.  It was noted that Mr D Dawson was not in support of the islands removal.

 

 

 

 

 

 

TAC175-18       Bryant Street, Narwee - Proposed changes to pedestrian crossing

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)       That the concept design for the modification to the existing pedestrian crossing on Bryant Street at the intersection of Broadarrow Road, Narwee, as per the plan U652 attached to the report, be approved. 

(b)       That a detailed design with “No Stopping” modifications be submitted to the RMS for approval.

 

 

TAC176-18       Neville Street, Oatley - Proposed Pedestrian Refuge

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

Recommendation

(a)     That a pedestrian refuge with associated line marking and signage be constructed in Neville Street near the intersection with Oatley Parade.

(b)     That “No Stopping” signage be installed on the northern and southern side of Neville Street, between Oatley Parade and Oatley Avenue, as shown on plan U617 attached to the report.

(c)     That Council investigate short-term parking restrictions in Neville Street, adjacent to the Scout Hall, to facilitate comments received by OOSH, with a report to be presented at a future Traffic Committee meeting.

 

 

TAC177-18       Coleridge Street, Riverwood - Proposed "Disabled Parking" Zone

Recommendation

That a 7m “Disabled Parking, 9am – 3pm, Sun” zone be installed on the southern side of Coleridge Street, Riverwood, adjacent The Body of Christ Mission Centre, as shown on plan TC1790 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC178-18       Terry Street, Kyle Bay - Proposed "No Stopping" Zone

Recommendation

That a 25m “No Stopping” zone be installed on the eastern bend of Terry Street and Riverview Avenue, Kyle Bay, as shown on plan TC1794 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC179-18       Carroll Street, Beverley Park - Proposed 'No Parking' Zone

Recommendation

That a 12m “No Parking” zone be installed on the southern side of Carroll Street, Beverley Park, adjacent to number 20 – 22, as shown on plan TC1806 attached to the report.

 

 

 

TAC180-18       Carwar Avenue, Carss Park - Modification to "Mail Zone"

Recommendation

That the existing “Mail Zone” on the eastern side of Carwar Avenue, Carss Park, north of Carinya Place, be converted to “No Parking, Australia Post Vehicles Excepted”, as shown on plan TC1800 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC181-18       Frederick Avenue, Beverly Hills - Proposed "No Stopping" zone extension

Recommendation

That the existing “No Stopping” zone on the southern side of Frederick Avenue, adjacent to number 19, be extended 7m to the east, as shown on plan TC1802 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC182-18       The Crescent, Kingsgrove - Proposed Access To Site

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

Recommendation

(a)     That Option 2 (Left In / Left Out) be supported as the preferred access off The Crescent for a 19m Articulated Vehicle to No. 6 The Crescent, Kingsgrove.

(b)     That Option 1 (Right In / Right Out) off The Crescent also be approved for a 19m Articulated Vehicle to No. 6 The Crescent, Kingsgrove in the event that Option 2 is unfeasible for any reason.

(c)     That “No Stopping” zones associated with either Option 1 or 2 in The Crescent be approved to improve the heavy vehicle movements for the site.

(d)     That due to the lower vehicle and pedestrian traffic in The Crescent, the Traffic Committee would prefer that the driveway access be located off this street rather than Vanessa Street.

(e)     That the applicant be required to submit to Council turning template movements for a 19m Articulated Vehicle for a vehicle turning left from Commercial Road into Kingsgrove Road.  If this turn cannot be achieved, then the Development shall restrict the largest size heavy vehicle to a size that can satisfactorily turn at this intersection.

 

 

TAC183-18       Penshurst Street, Beverly Hills - Proposed Changes to Parking

                             This was presented to the Committee by Mr I Dessa from the RMS

 

Recommendation

(a)     That the existing three (3) spaces signposted as “1P, 8.30am – 6pm Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 12.30pm Sat” on the western side of Penshurst Street, north of Stoney Creek Road, be converted to “1/2P, 8.30am – 6pm Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 12.30pm Sat”.

(b)     That the two (2) unrestricted parking spaces on the western side of Penshurst Street, adjacent to No. 159, be converted to “1P, 8.30am – 6pm Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 12.30pm Sat”, as shown on plan TC1807 attached to the report.

(c)     That the RMS notifies the businesses at No. 159 Penshurst Street of the proposed changes.

(d)     That the request for changes to parking by the RMS in respect of the new and extended clearways on Henry Lawson Drive, Forest Road and Stoney Creek Road between Padstow Heights and Penshurst be endorsed and that RMS be advised of Council’s decision.

 

 

TAC184-18       Boorara Avenue, Oatley - Proposed "No Stopping" extension

Recommendation

That the existing “No Stopping” zone on the eastern side of Boorara Avenue, south of Mimosa Street, be extended 9m, as shown on plan TC1793 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC185-18       Woniora Road, Hurstville - Proposed "No Stopping" zone

Recommendation

That a 12m “No Stopping” zone be installed on the eastern side of Woniora Road, south of Cole Street, as shown on plan TC1809 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC186-18       Grosvenor Road, South Hurstville - Proposed Parking Restrictions

Recommendation

(a)     That a 7m “Disabled Parking” zone and pram ramp be installed on the southern side of Grosvenor Road, adjacent to St Mark’s Anglican Church.

(b)     That an 18m “P10 Minute, 8am – 10am, 2pm – 4pm, School Days” zone be installed on the southern side of Grosvenor Road, adjacent to the “Disabled Parking” zone, as shown on plan TC1786 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC187-18       Broadarrow Road, Narwee - Proposed "1/2P" zone

Recommendation

That the existing “1P, 8.30am-6pm, Mon-Fri, 8.30am-12.30pm, Sat” zone on southern side of Broadarrow Road, Narwee be converted to a “1/2P, 8.30am-6pm, Mon-Fri, 8.30am-12.30pm, Sat” zone as shown on the plan TC1796 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC188-18       Derwent Street, South Hurstville - Proposed "Works Zone"

Recommendation

(a)     That a 6m “Works Zone, all other times” be installed on the western side of Derwent Street, South Hurstville adjacent to No 832-836 King Georges Road, for a period of 4 weeks commencing in September 2018.

(b)     That the parking be reinstated to its existing status at the completion of the “Works Zone”.

 

 

TAC189-18       Kara Lane Peakhurst Heights - Request for "No Parking Tuesdays 6am-10am"

(Report by Senior Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

THAT the request to install “No Parking, Tuesdays, 6.00am-10.00am” along the southern side of Kara Lane, Peakhurst Heights (being the rear of properties 28 to 34 Robyn Street) be denied at this stage pending further investigations.

 

 

 

TAC190-18       Chemical Waste Collection at Mortdale Depot - Traffic Management Plan

(Report by Senior Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)     THAT the Traffic Control Plan be received and noted for implementation of the Chemical Cleanout program on 7th October, 2018

(b)     THAT Council’s Waste Field Officer confirms the currency of the RMS permit of the company/person who has prepared the current Traffic Control Plan.

 

 

TAC191-18       Ogilvy Street Peakhurst - Road Safety Concerns

Recommendation

(a)       THAT Council’s  Traffic and Compliance Sections continue to  roll out school education programs to educate parents and the community and raise awareness for consequences of illegal driver behaviour .

(b)     THAT the request to install planter boxes at the location of the “No Stopping” zone in Ogilvy Street, Peakhurst be denied.

TAC194-18       Belgrave Street, Kogarah - Temporary Road Closure

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

Recommendation

(a)     That approval be granted to temporarily close Belgrave Street, Kogarah from Post Office Lane to Kensington Street, between 6am and 3pm on Sunday, 23 September 2018 for the Ladies Auxiliary of the Greek Orthodox Church Annual Fete.

(b)     That the Ladies Auxiliary of the Greek Orthodox Church be advised of Council’s decision.

(c)     That a Traffic Control Plan be submitted to Council, the Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) and NSW Police for their approval prior to the closure occurring.
