Recommendation

(a)     That two "No Right Turn", Into Service Station"signs be installed on Boundary Road, Oatley, near to the intersection of Gungah Bay Road, for southbound traffic, as shown on plan TC1636 attached to the report.

(b)     That the BP service station be notified of the Traffic Advisory Committee’s decision.

(c)     That a TMP outlining the restriction be submitted to the RMS for approval.

 

TAC144-17       Bassett Street, Hurstville - Proposed "Work Zone" at number 19

Recommendation

(a)     That a 12m “Works Zone, 7am – 5pm, Mon – Sat” be installed on the western side of Bassett Street, Hurstville adjacent to number 19, for a period of 20 weeks commencing on 5th February 2018, as shown on plan TC1643 attached to the report.

(b)     That the parking be returned to its current status at the completion of the “Works Zone” period.

 

 

TAC145-17       Water Street, Blakehurst - Proposed Linemarkings

Recommendation

(a)     That a left hand Edge Line (E1) with red Raised Reflective Pavement Markers be painted 2.2m from the face of the kerb on the northern side of Water Street, between Vaughan Street and the carpark of Water Street, Blakehurst.

(b)     That a Dividing Barrier Line (BB) with yellow Raised Reflective Pavement Markers (RRPM) be painted 3.275m from the Edge Line and kerb on Water Street, between Vaughan Street and the carpark of Water Street, Blakehurst, as shown on attached plan TC1637.

(c)     That a “No Stopping” zone be installed on the southern side of Water Street from the car park driveway to the intersection of Vaughan Street.

 

TAC146-17       Service Lane, Forest Road, Peakhurst - Proposed "1P" Zone

Recommendation

That a “1P, 8.30am – 6pm” zone be installed at the service lane off Forest Road, Peakhurst as shown on the plan TC 1633 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC147-17       Nielsen Avenue, Kogarah - Proposed "No Stopping" Extension

Recommendation

That the existing “No Stopping” zone on the northern side of Nielsen Avenue, Kogarah adjacent to number 19-23 English Street, Kogarah, be extended 5m towards the south, as shown on plan TC1644 attached to the report.

Recommendation

(a)     That a “No Stopping” zone be installed on the western side of Lorraine Street at the corner of Isaac Street, Peakhurst.

(b)     That an 18m “1P, 8.30am – 6pm, Mon-Fri, 8.30am – 12.30pm, Sat” zone be installed on the western side of Lorraine Street, Peakhurst, as shown on the plan TC1634 attached to the report.

 

 


 

 

TAC149-17       James Street, Blakehurst - Proposed "Work Zone" adjacent to 623 Princes Highway

Recommendation

(a)     That a 20m “Works Zone, 7am – 5pm, Mon – Sat” be installed on the northern side of James Street, Blakehurst, adjacent to number 623 Princes Highway, for a period of 52 weeks commencing on 20th January 2018, as shown on plan TC1645 attached to the report.

(b)     That the statutory 10m “No Stopping” zone be installed on the northern side of James Street, east of Stuart Lane.

(c)     That the parking be returned to its current status at the completion of the “Works Zone” period.

 

 

TAC150-17       Treacy Street, Hurstville - Proposed "No Parking" zones in Council carpark

Recommendation

(a)     That four (4) car parking spaces on the western side of the Treacy Street Council car park be signposted as "P, St Vincent De Paul Staff Only".

(b)     That four (4) car parking spaces on the western side of the Treacy Street Council car park be signposted as "P, 3 Bridges Community Staff Only".

 

TAC151-17       Blakesley Road, South Hurstville - Proposed Linemarking

Recommendation

(a)     That a left hand Edge Line (E1) with red Raised Reflective Pavement Markers be painted 2.35m from the face of the kerb on both the northern side and southern side of Blakesley Road, between West Street and Bellevue Parade, South Hurstville.

(b)     That a Dividing Barrier Line (BB) with yellow Raised Reflective Pavement Markers (RRPM) be painted 4m from the northern Edge Line and 4.15m from the southern Edge Line on Blakesley Road, between West Street and Bellevue Parade, South Hurstville.

(c)     That a Give-Way Holding Line (TB & TB1) and associated signage be installed at George Street and St Georges Parade off Blakesley Road, South Hurstville, as shown on Plan TC1638, Sheets 1 – 3, attached to the report.

 

 

TAC152-17       Depot Road, Mortdale - Proposed "No Stopping" Zone

Recommendation

That an 8m “No Stopping” zone be installed on the eastern side of Depot Road, Mortdale, as shown on the plan TC1650 attached to the report.

 

 


 

 

TAC153-17       Wentworth Avenue, Blakehurst - Proposed Temporary Road Closure

Recommendation

That the temporary closure of Wentworth Avenue, Blakehurst between Lorna Avenue and Lynwood Street, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm on Sunday, 17 December 2017 be approved for the Blakehurst Baptist Church Christmas Walk, as shown on plan L87 attached to the report.

 

TAC154-17       Park Road, Kogarah Bay - Proposed "No Stopping" zones near Bayview Street

Recommendation

(a)     That a 50m “No Stopping” zone be installed on the eastern side of Park Road, north of Bayview Street.

(b)     That the statutory 10m “No Stopping” zones be installed on the northern and southern side of Bayview Street at the intersection with Park Road, as shown on plan TC1651 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC155-17       Samuel Street, Peakhurst - Proposed "No Stopping" zones

Recommendation

(a)     That the existing “No Stopping” zone on the southern side of Samuel Street, east of Belmore Road, be extended by 15m, as shown on plan TC1642, Sheet 1, attached to the report.

(b)     That a “No Stopping” zone be installed on the northern and southern side of Samuel Street, west of the roundabout at Forest Road, as shown on plan TC1642, Sheet 2, attached to the report.

(c)     That a "Give Way" line and sign and a 10m dividing barrier line be installed in Samuel Street at the intersection with Belmore Road.

TAC157-17       Botany Street, Carlton - Proposed "1P" Zone

Recommendation

That 12m of the existing “Disabled Parking” zone on the eastern side of Botany Street, adjacent to the Botany Gardens Nursing Home, be converted to “1P, 8.30am – 6pm”, as shown on plan TC1652 attached to the report.

Recommendation

(a)     That a 317m BB Centreline be installed on Ogilvy Street, Peakhurst between Evans Street and Henry Lawson Drive, as shown on plan TC1653 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC159-17       Forest Road Hustville - Proposed Signage Changes

Recommendation

That the signage changes on both sides of Forest Road, Hurstville between Durham Street and Croydon Road, be installed as shown on plan TC 1641 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC160-17       Littleton Street Riverwood - Request from Club Rivers to close Littleton Street for Street Fair 2018

Recommendation

(a)     THAT the request to hold a street-fair in Littleton Street, Riverwood between Belmore Road and Erskine Street on Saturday, the 10th March 2018, between 6:00am and 3:30pm be approved pursuant to sections 139A and 144 of Roads Act (1993).

(b)     THAT the request for the temporary closure of Littleton Street, Riverwood between Belmore Road and Erskine Street on Saturday, the 10th March 2018, between 6:00am and 3:30pm to facilitate a street-fair be approved subject to following conditions:

i.   Club Rivers shall prepare a detail Traffic Management Plan for the proposed road closure in accordance with the RMS’s Guide to Traffic Transport Management for Special Events and submit to Council, the RMS and NSW Police for approval.

ii.  Club Rivers shall notify all emergency services, bus companies, St. George Cabs Limited and affected residents of the event at least seven (7) days prior to the event.

iii. Club Rivers shall advertise the road closure in local newspapers at least seven (7) days prior to the event.

(c)     THAT the request to erect stalls and entertainment on Littleton Street, Riverwood between Belmore Road and Erskine Street on Saturday, the 10th March 2018 be approved pursuant to section sections 139A and 144 of Roads Act (1993).

(d)     THAT all the temporary food stalls operating on the event day shall comply with the requirements stipulated by Council's Environmental Health Unit.

(e)     THAT the standard fees for road closures as per Council’s Schedule of Fees & Charges be waived for the proposed closure of Littleton Street, Riverwood between Belmore Road and Erskine Street on Saturday, the 10th March 2018 to hold the street-fair.

 

 


 

 

TAC161-17       Norman Street Allawah - Proposed No Stopping zone extension

Recommendation

(a)     That the existing 10m “No Stopping” zone on the south eastern side of the intersection of Norman Street and Illawarra Street, Allawah be extended by 5m, as shown on the plan TC1647 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC162-17       Weston Road Hurstville - Proposed 1/4P Zone

Recommendation

That a 13m “1/4P, 6am-10pm, Mon-Fri” zone be installed on the eastern side of Weston Road, adjacent to 61f Kimberley Road, Hurstville, as shown on the plan TC1645 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC163-17       Blake Avenue, Blakehurst - Proposed "1/4P" Zone in carpark

Recommendation

That 3 of the existing "1P, 8.30am - 7pm" spaces in the car park off Blake Avenue, Blakehurst, be converted to "1/4P, 8.30am - 7pm", as shown on plan TC1654 attached to the report.

 

TAC164-17       Lunar New Year 2018 - Forest Road Hurstville - Proposed Road Closure for Street Festival.

Recommendation

a)      That the proposed temporary closure of Forest Road between Queens Road and Treacy Street, Hurstville from midnight Friday 9th February 2018 to 1:00 am  Sunday 11th  February 2018 to facilitate the 2018 Hurstville Lunar New Year Street Festival be approved subject to RMS and Police consent.

b)      That Council engage a traffic control contractor to prepare a Traffic Management Plan and obtain a Road Occupancy License for the proposed closure of Forest Road, Hurstville. As part of the Traffic Management Plan, Hurstville Bus Interchange in Woodville Lane will be closed and the existing bus stops within the interchange be relocated by extending the following Bus Zones within Hurstville CBD:

i.    Extend the Bus Zone on the southern side of Barrett Street, Hurstville 15 metres west.

ii.   Extend the Bus Zone on the northern side of Barrett Street, Hurstville 15 metres west.

iii.  Extend the Bus Zone on the southern side of Crofts Street, Hurstville 12 metres east.

iv.  Install a 60 metre Bus Zone on the Southern side of Cross Street between The Avenue and Park Road, Hurstville.

 

c)      That the Traffic Management Plan and the Road Occupancy License be submitted to RMS, Police and Council for approval.

d)      That Council submit a Special Events Clearway Application to the Transport Management Centre (TMC) requesting a Special Event Clearway to be installed on Forest Road and Queens Road Hurstville between Bridge Street and Hudson Street, Hurstville from 7am to 10pm on Saturday 10 February.

e)      That emergency services, bus operators and St George Cabs be notified of the proposed closure of Forest Road, Hurstville for the 2018 Hurstville Lunar New Year's Street Festival.

f)       That Punchbowl Bus Company and Sydney Buses be requested to provide a ‘Bus Director’ to direct buses and passengers to the temporary bus stops allocated for the duration of the festival.

g)      That Bus Companies be requested to advise the affected bus drivers of the proposed closure and alternative bus stops and bus routes on Saturday 10 February and Sunday 11 February 2018 .

h)      That a temporary No Stopping restriction be installed on the south western side of Dora Street, between Macmahon Street and Queens Road, Hurstville for the duration of the Lunar New Year Festival on Saturday 10 February 2018.

i)       That the Taxi Rank in Forest Road, Hurstville be relocated to Woodville Street, Hurstville for the duration of the festival. Appropriate signage be installed advising that the taxi rank been relocated to Barratt Street, Hurstville.

(a)     Further that all business owners along Forest Road and Queens Road be notified of the proposed closure of Forest Road and proposed Special Events Clearway restrictions for the 2018 Hurstville Lunar New Year Street Festival

 

 

TAC165-17       Pacific Avenue, Penshurst - Proposed Temporary Road Closure

Recommendation

That the temporary closure of Pacific Avenue, Penshurst between Railway Parade and Alexander Street, from 7pm to 10pm on Sunday, 24 December 2017 be approved, as shown on plan L634 Sheets 1 – 3 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC166-17       Bond Street, Hurstville - Proposed "No Parking, Motorcycles Excepted" Zone

That a “No Parking, Motorcycles Excepted” Zone be installed on the southern side of Bond Street, Hurstville, adjacent number 3, as shown on plan TC1656 attached to the report.

Recommendation

(a)     That the existing 6m “Bus Zone, 8am-9.30am, 2.30pm-4pm, School Days”, “2P, 9.30am-2.30pm, Mon-Fri” zone and existing 7m “Bus Zone, 8am-9.30am, 2.30pm-4pm”, “P5, 9.30am-2.30pm” be converted to a 13m “No Parking, 8am-9.30am, 2.30pm-4pm, School Days” zone, “P5, 9.30am-2.30pm, Mon-Fri” zone, as shown on the plan TC 1655 attached to the report.

 


 

 

TAC168-17       Benwerrin Avenue Carss Park - Proposed No Stopping Zone

Recommendation

(a)     That a 27m “No Stopping” zone be installed on the western side of Benwerrin Avenue adjacent to 25 Benwerrin Avenue, Carss Park, as shown on the plan TC 1640 attached to the report.

(b)     That a 24m “No Stopping” zone be installed on the eastern side of Benwerrin Avenue, adjacent to 20 Benwerrin Avenue, Carss Park.

 

 

TAC169-17       Scott Street, Motdale - Introduction of No Trucks 3T and Over Restriction

Recommendation

(a)     THAT a ‘No Trucks, 3T and over’ restriction be installed in Scott Street at all approaches to Scott Street from Boundary Road, Delves Street and Forest Road, Mortdale.

(b)     THAT a TMP outlining the restriction be submitted to RMS for approval.

 

 

TAC170-17       Balmoral Road Mortdale - Proposed "Works Zone" at number 72

(a)     That a 12m “Works Zone, 7am-5pm, Mon-Sat” be installed on the northern side of Balmoral Road, adjacent to 72 Balmoral Road, Mortdale, for a period of 16 weeks commencing on 4th December 2017, as shown on plan TC1657 attached to the report.

(b)     That the parking be returned to its current status at the completion of the “Works Zone” period.

(a) That a 12m “Works Zone, 7am-5pm, Mon-Sat” be installed on the western side of Francis Street, adjacent to 13 Francis Street, Carlton, for a period of 16 weeks commencing in February 2018, as shown on plan TC1658 attached to the report.

(b) That the parking be returned to its current status at the completion of the “Works Zone” period.

(a)     That a 10m “Works Zone, 7am-5pm, Mon-Sat” be installed on the southern side of Macquarie Place, adjacent to 1 Macquarie Place, Mortdale, for a period of 32 weeks commencing on 15th January 2018, as shown on plan TC1659 attached to the report.

(b)     That the parking be returned to its current status at the completion of the “Works Zone” period.

 

TAC173-17       Stoney Creek Road Kingsgrove - Propsed pedestrian fence extension

Recommendation

(a)     That the existing pedestrian fence on the northern side of Stoney Creek Road, adjacent to Arkana College, be extended 10m east.

(b)     That a detailed design be submitted to RMS for approval.

 

TAC174-17       Universal Street Mortdale - Proposed No Parking zone

Recommendation

That a 34m “No Parking, Motorcycles Excepted” zone be installed on the southern side of Universal Street, Mortdale, between 55A and 59A Universal Street, as shown on plan TC1639 attached to the report.

 

TAC175-17       Railway Parade Kogarah - Proposed "Works Zone" at number 218-222

Recommendation

(a)     That a 21m “Works Zone, 7am-5pm, Mon-Sat” be installed on the southern side of Railway Parade, adjacent to 218-222 Railway Parade, Kogarah, for a period of 58 weeks commencing on 15th January 2018, as shown on plan TC1661 attached to the report.

(b)     That the parking be reviewed after the completion of the “Works Zone” period.
